MURA FUTURA A Japanese Lifestyle Supermarket for the Future
What is MURA?
Mura is a Japanese Village.
Uniquely Inspired by Japanese Villages, MURA FUTURA is the newly opened SOGO Freshmart in Hong Kong created by Alexander Wong Architects, successfully benchmarking a new level of sophistication for the design of Japanese Lifestyle Supermarket. Key features of this functional, modular and versatile design include Barrel Vault Slatted Ceiling with Linear Lanterns, Golden Ham & Cheese Bento Counter, Picnic Cloth Flooring, Sake Arcadia, Gourmet Mura, Tatami Ceiling and Zen Cashiers Counters.
It took Alexander Wong Architects one year to design by beating 10 other International Design Teams in a design competition back in May 2016.
